The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is a private non-profit corporation with a 501(c)(6) IRS designation. The Chamber was founded in 1982 to support economic opportunities for the community.

A greater St. Louis Region where Hispanic businesses and families are thriving, engaging and contributing to the overall economy.
Purpose
To resource, guide, educate, help grow and advance St. Louis business owners, nonprofit organizations, corporate professionals, skilled tradespeople, students and the people who work with them to increase Hispanic economic contributions to the greater region.
Our History
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan St. Louis was incorporated on April 28, 1982. The incorporators were Maria Elena Alonso, Michael Mahler, Manuel De La O, Jennie Ojeda, Anthony B. Ramirez, Mario Santander, Maria Isabel Thompson, B. A. Villarreal, and Luis G. Zambrana. Shortly thereafter, the Hispanic Chamber was accepted as an affiliate of the United Stated Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), which currently has more than two hundred affiliates across the nation.
